Willard Park Enjoy the view of tall grass and lovely redwood trees surrounding you. Dogs and children playing, people passing through. It's a fairly small, but beautiful park. You can find yourself a nook just to be alone in, but you can also come right out and enjoy the public scene. It's lovely and out of the way. |

MARS Thrift Store This shop on the corner of Telegraph is unexpectedly large: two dimly-lit stories of vintage and thrifted items, some more expensive, and some of them found in the fifty-cent bin. You never really know what you'll find when you walk in. Be prepared to strike gold or to fall flat, whatever item you may be searching for. |

American Apparel - 1 Viewing This clothing store is right next to the university. University student prices? No. Maybe university student prices for the student with rich, benevolent grandparents. Or, okay, maybe you bought it on the sale rack. |

Rasputin Music This record store will blow your mind.... three stories, an endless maze of music, music, and more music. And books. New music, old music, R&B, new age grunge rock... everything. But how wouldn't they have a bit of everything with that much space to fill? You can go apeshit in this place. Plus, it's all cheap used stuff. You could buy a truck-full in this place and still not break the bank. |

Berkeley Espresso This tiny shop is right in the thick of it all, on the corner of Telegraph and Shattuck. Technically, it's a Shattuck Avenue shop, but it definitely counts anyways. Come get your morning pep-up. Some free wifi. Whatever. |

Happy High Herbs This smoke shop is off of Telegraph, when you walk down Channing Way. It's easy to spot per it's loud, brightly-colored graffiti all over the store front. Walking inside, find everything you'd expect, and everything you wouldn't. There are herbs for relaxation, drugs that just happen to be legal, like salvia, pipes, stoner beanies/bumper stickers/knick-knacks... even something called "Horny Goat Weed Tea". Don't ask me. |

The Quad The Quad: oh, the quad... a venue quite underestimated. However, how many times over the course of a semester, term, or even the full years of your enrollment, do you find yourself walking this concrete? Everyone passes through here. Some stop by a kiosk to pick up a quick granola bar before class, or park out on the grass with their laptops, iPods, or other such things. |

Cafe 3 Cheap, good-ish buffet-style food right by campus. Also serves as a nice study lounge, etc for paying customers/freeloaders. Plop right down in one of their comfy chairs and enjoy. |
