[/size]APPEARANCE:
Lucie stands at 5'7". She's quite thin and a bit slouchy standing, an ectomorph, if you will. Her gray-blue eyes have a kind of a clear, innocent look to them. She walks around with a small smile on her face a lot of time, just barely there, like she's amazed at the vastness of her surroundings. Which she is. Her skin is on the pale side of medium. She has subtle freckles that dot her face and small but full raspberry-colored lips. Her hair is messy almost all of the time. It's very thick, long, and dirty blonde. Her clothing is eccentric. Stemming from her aforementioned love of vintage/throwback pieces, thrift stores, and flowers, she can often be spotted wearing sixties clothes, or random pieces that catch her eye for one reason or another. Aside from her eccentric choice of clothing, she's usually relatively unadorned. Sometimes she put on a little bit of eye makeup if she's in the mood, but she mostly goes without. She doesn't usually paint her nails or anything, either. Although she does love clothes, she's usually not big on dressing up for fancy occasions. She prefers to throw on an old band tee or something. She has no piercings or tattoos, and no substantial scars other than some random little knicks here and there.

FAMILY MEMBERS: Lucie's biological mother got involved in drugs and left when Lucie was two. Lucie's only ever seen her a few times. Her stepmother is named Carrie, she's a 34-year-old paralegal who likes hiking, gardening, and cooking. She's nice enough, but sometimes a bit uppity for Lucie. Her father is named Joe, and she likes him, but doesn't rely on him for much. He's got a good sense of humor and a bad sense of responsibility. Lucie has two older brothers. Peter, who's 20, also uppity, and a pretty good pianist, and Darren, who's 14, quiet, and hardworking. Both her brothers go to UC Davis. Lucie's dad and stepmom live in Sacramento, CA.
HISTORY:
Lucie was born in England to her mother, Grace, and her father, Joe. Joe and Grace had both had their bouts with substance abuse of one sort or another, but Joe's was fleeting and recreational. He'd met Grace at a college party with a lot of drugs, and instantly was infatuated with her. She was very beautiful and fascinated him with her many oddities. They had their fling, and the result was the unplanned pregnancy also known as Lucie's oldest brother, Peter. Because Grace and Joe did love each other, and because of the baby on the way, they rushed into marriage, both of them believing it to be nothing other than fate holding them together. Because of Grace's drug abuse, the engagement was prolonged. No decisions were being made, no work was getting done. It was a year and a half later when Lucie was conceived. Grace and Joe were still "engaged". Joe thought another baby could replace fate and keep their engagement from crumbling. Grace had "quit" drugs, also, so Joe had convinced himself she was finally ready to settle down. Grace and Joe continued on like this until Grace was two years old, when Grace had fallen back into her old habits, and Joe put his foot down. This was when Joe, Lucie, and Peter moved to Oregon. Peter's parents lived there. They lived in Oregon for five years. Joe became an architect. Other than the occasional angry, drunken phone call from Grace, those five years were steady. When Lucie was seven, they all moved again, this time to Sacramento because of a job offer Joe got. This is where Joe met Lucie's stepmother, Carrie, and Darren was conceived. Lucie spent most of her childhood detached from the rest of the world. She's always been quite intelligent. She was very quiet in elementary and middle school. She went through that time with few friends, and contentedly so. She liked to dance and paint and sing, and she filled her time with this. In high school, however, she blossomed into a different Lucie. Her solitude turned into independence, and she became fearless and carefree. She was and still is quiet until she feels the need to speak. She prefers observation to narration, one might say. However, when she is compelled to speak, she often has surprising and unusual things to say. Ironically, she's a very good conversationalist. She's grown into this carefree part of herself more and more since high school. Her sophomore year of high school, she met a guy named Clark by association of her friend Allison, who hung out in the same group as him. Clark was twenty years old, and Lucie was sixteen. She didn't see the age difference as a big deal, and she guiltlessly fell for him, as did he for her. She knew that Joe and Carrie would find their relationship less than tolerable, and hesitated in telling them. Eventually, they found out when Carrie had come to pick Lucie up early from a night out with friends and Lucie was making out with Clark on a bench. Needless to say, not a great "meet the parents" experience. Joe and Carrie were furious and forbid Lucie from seeing Clark. She was in love, and, of course, stayed with him anyways. She got her heart broken her senior year, right before graduation, when she found out Clark had cheated on her at a party. When Lucie confronted him, Clark broke up with her. Now, she is entering her first year of college in a fragile state.
